This page contains a handful of photographs of the mines to the immediate east and west of Manhattan. This page is more pictorial than historical. I believe that the mines shown here include the Toro Blanca, Oso and Black Mammoth Prospect. Last Trip/ Road Conditions: These photos are from many trips over the last decade. With exception to the dumps, these mines are all located along the main road running through Manhattan. You won't have to get very far off the beaten path to see these relics.
